CHESTERFIELD, VA - It's time to dust of your dancing shoes for a throwback in time! This Saturday, June, 16th - 6pm-9pm the award-winning sister act Gracie & Lacy will make a special appearance at the Heritage Amphitheater at Pocahontas State Park in Chesterfield, Virginia to commemorate the area's rich history during the World War Two era with a vintage USO-style show entitled, "Hollywood Canteen." This program is part of the Routes of Rhythm Series.
Local ballroom dancers dancers known as The Sophisticats will be cutting a rug to the fabulous hits of the Big Band Era and audiences are welcome to join in! You might even don some 1940s inspired attire for the event.
The Pocahontas State Park is the perfect venue for this commemorative event as the park was a place of recreation for military and their families during the war years. Come join us as we honor the brave men and women who fought for our freedom.
